How to Read Odds
Decimal Odds
The most common format in online betting in Bangladesh is decimal odds. The odds number tells you the total amount you will get back for every ৳1 wagered (including your original stake).
Example: Say Bangladesh Tigers' odds of winning are 1.80. You place a ৳500 bet. If you win, you receive: ৳500 × 1.80 = ৳900 (total return). That means a net profit of ৳400.
Implied Probability
You can estimate the probability of an event from the odds. The implied probability of 1.80 odds is (1 ÷ 1.80) × 100 ≈ 55.6%. This means the bookmaker considers this team to have a 56% chance of winning.
Other Formats
Fractional Odds: Written in the British style, for example 4/5. This means a ৳4 profit for every ৳5 wagered. American Odds (Moneyline): Given as positive (+) or negative (-) numbers. +150 means ৳150 profit on a ৳100 bet; -200 means you need to wager ৳200 to win ৳100 profit. On ok8004, all odds are shown in decimal format — simple and transparent.
Crash Games — Fast Multipliers
Crash games are one of the most thrilling formats in modern online gaming. In games like Aviator (Spribe), a round can last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.
How Does a Round Work?
You must place your bet before the round starts. The multiplier then begins rising from 1.00x — it can go up to 2x, 5x, 10x or even higher. If you cash out at any point, your bet is multiplied by that multiplier and the amount is added to your balance. But the game can crash at any moment — if you do not cash out in time, you lose your entire stake.
Auto Cash Out
The auto cash out feature lets you set a multiplier in advance, at which point the game will automatically cash out on your behalf. This reduces the risk of waiting too long out of excitement.
Aviator
The most popular crash game made by Spribe. Features simple mechanics and social betting.
SpribeRTP and House Edge Explained
RTP or Return to Player is the theoretical payout percentage of a game. In simple terms, if a game's RTP is 96%, then over the long run an average of ৳96 comes back for every ৳100 wagered. However, this is just a mathematical average — results in any given session can be completely different.
Typical RTP ranges for different game types: Slots generally offer RTP from 92% to 98% — it varies by game. For table games like blackjack, following the correct strategy can bring the RTP close to 99%. Roulette typically has an RTP of 94% to 97%, though it varies by variant.
House edge is the opposite concept to RTP. If RTP is 96%, the house edge is 4%. This means the game is designed with a slight mathematical advantage in the casino's favour. This is not manipulation — it is how a casino covers the cost of running the business.
Why is it important to understand RTP and house edge before playing? It helps you make more informed decisions. Understanding which game will make your budget last longer and where strategy has more impact is part of responsible gaming.
| Game Type | Typical RTP | House Edge |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | 92% – 98% | 2% – 8% |
| Blackjack | ~99% | ~1% |
| Roulette | 94% – 97% | 3% – 6% |
| Baccarat | ~98.9% | ~1.1% |
| Crash Game | Varies | Varies |
The figures above are industry-average data. The RTP for a specific game can be found in the game provider's documentation.
